Nostalgic Holidays: Cherishing Childhood Memories and Traditions

I have vivid memories of caravan holidays as a child. They felt magical in a way that is hard to explain now, though I’m sure plenty of people will understand it straight away. Walking back from the beach with sandy feet, a towel over your shoulder, and the smell of fish and chips somewhere in the air, it always felt like the day had gone on forever. Cornwall and Skegness were two of the big ones for us, and each had their own kind of magic, whether it was the long drives, the packed arcades, or just that first glimpse of the sea.

The caravan itself was part of it too. Small, cosy, and somehow able to make even a rainy day feel special. There was something lovely about everyone being tucked in together, sometimes with damp coats hanging up, a kettle on, and the sound of the wind outside. Looking back, it wasn’t just the places, it was the feeling of it all. Simple, ordinary, and somehow unforgettable...... ☺️
